1st Time to Disney World

For Corbin's senior trip he wanted to go to Florida to experience Harry Potter world. He was nice enough to invite the rest of us to come along. I was soo excited! I really wanted to get out of the office and into the sun to spend some time with my Lyla-lou. Tyler had never been to Disney World before and the last time he was in Disney land was with his grandparents when he was 15. He didn't really love his disney experience.  I am a lover of all things Disney and was determined to convert Tyler to the Disney ways.

We arrived on Friday night and after a horrible experience with Hertz(they are totally incompetent) we pulled into our hotel around 1am. Lyla was not happy... luckily Wendys was open till 2am cause we were starving. Our first day there we snuck into a nice pool area and took lyla for her first swim. She was ADORABLE in her swim suit, but she was a little scared of the water.
Not as fun for her as we hoped...

Getting warm again after the swim.
Lucky for us it was easter Sunday. My mom and dad hid eggs all over the pool area next to us. Rachel organized a system for the eggs that color coded how much money was in certain color of eggs. She only told Matt about it and in the end Matt ended up earning $45 from his hunt.  Lyla did pretty well herself.

Our first day we went to Disney world and Epcot. Lyla loved all the colors, but luckily slept through a lot of it.  It wasn't too crowded there. The first day we were out till 10pm and Lyla was very tired... and cranky. However, we went back to Disney at night and watched the Electrical Light parade and the fireworks. Ty and I danced around the carousel in Fantasy land. In the end Tyler was converted to the magic of Disney.

Lady and the Tramp lunch!

On our way to Epcot we are already tired...

Lyla and I taking a rest in Mexico

Epcot had the Garden show going on it was Beautiful!

Second day was Islands of Adventure with Harry Potter World! This park was sooo busy. Luckily we firgured out about the single rider baby swap trick. We didn't wait very long in any lines and Harry potter world was AMAZING! The Butter beer wasn't that great and I wished it was bigger, but it was still cool.

Third day was animal kingdom. We got very lucky with fast passes and ended up using fast passes all day long. We were done by 5pm! Lyla liked the animals but slept through most of it because she started to get a little sick. We got to see a lot of animals in the Safari!
Tyler disrupting the circle of life
The Safari
Grandpa Joe the Gorilla
Some funny monkeys

Happy to be home and in bed!
Lyla was great on the plane ride home! It was fun to go on our first vacation together! She makes everything fun and even though she won't remember her first trip to Disneyworld I have pictures to prove she was there.

Camille's Bollywood Bridal Shower

Yesterday we celebrated my BEAUTIFUL sister-in-law's bridal shower. Her sister Nicolle and I threw it together. It was so much fun working with Nicolle she always makes me laugh a lot. I was trying to think of a theme for the shower and I threw the idea of a Bollywood shower out there, because I know Camille loves India. Camille is a world travellor and last year she did a trip around the world. She is one of the most courageous women I know because I would be way too scared to do that. The first time I met Camille she stuck me as a very adventurous person and was a lot like Tyler. She has drive to go out and save the world and I know that she can do it! Once she gets an idea in her head she makes it happen. I am so excited for her and Kenneth. She found her perfect match and I know the two of them will not only be happy together but they will do great things!

Well as we started planning the shower I used my helpful friend Pinterest and got some ideas and here is what we threw together!

These are an Indian food delicousy... I am not sure what they are.

My awesome mom just happen to have really cool lamps in her basement. Laura's basement in the best!

Our overall goal was to make everything so colorful. SO I made colorful oreo cookies and jello!

Nicolle made some yummy Indian food!

In our front room we made these rainbow awesomeness! I think it took Nicolle and Eden 4 hours it was epic.

More awesome lamps from my mom's basement!

My mom found these cool napkins from anthropologie that we used for the sign.

The pretty blushing bride! I think she got some presents that she is excited about.. I think Ken will like them too :)

Good family and friends all came out to celebrate!

The tired party planners! In the end it was all worth it! Congrats Camille!!

The party was a little much for Lyla. Thanks to Annie Henry- the adorable baby whisperer!
